Plain reading: you use PrivateRAG under a paid or trial plan, you own every document, question and answer in your workspace, and you are responsible for the provider keys and the material you connect to it. Payments are taken by Paddle as Merchant of Record.
Acceptance of these terms
These terms govern the use of PrivateRAG (the "Service"), provided by David Wagih ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and any organisation you represent.
What the service is
PrivateRAG is a hosted assistant that indexes documents you upload and answers questions about them, with citations, using model providers you connect with your own API keys or credit you buy from us. We may change or improve the Service; we will not remove a paid feature during a paid term without a refund for the remainder.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and give a working email address. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password and second factor private. Tell us at once if you believe your account has been used without your permission; the app's Security page lets you end sessions yourself.
Your content
You keep every right to the documents, questions and answers in your workspace. You grant us only what is needed to run the Service: to store, index, and send excerpts to the model provider you have chosen in order to answer your questions.
We never use your content to train models and never share it with other customers unless you share it yourself. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.
Model providers and keys
When you connect a provider key, requests are sent to that provider under your key and their terms apply to that traffic; their charges are between you and them. Keys are stored encrypted and are never shown in full to anyone, including our staff.
If you buy AI credit from us, we route requests through our provider accounts and the credit is consumed per request at the rates shown in the app.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to upload malware, to attack the Service or other users, or to resell it without an agreement. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Plans, payment and billing
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from your subscription page and keep access until the end of the paid term. Prices are shown on the pricing page; tax is added at checkout where applicable. Refunds are described in the refund policy.
How the service is delivered
PrivateRAG is delivered as a hosted online service — there is nothing to ship and nothing to download. Access is activated on your account immediately when payment is confirmed, at https://zobitas.com, using the account you signed up with. If access has not appeared within a few minutes of a successful payment, write to david@zobitas.com and we will put it right.
Trial
The Free plan does not expire, needs no card, and includes the features that run on your own API key. Sandboxed Python, database connectors and sharing are on the paid plans. Your account and documents remain until you delete them.
Availability and support
We aim for the Service to be available continuously but do not guarantee it. We back up daily and can restore your workspace from the last backup. Support is by email at david@zobitas.com; paid plans get priority.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account from the Security page at any time; that removes your documents, chats, keys and sessions. We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms, refunding any unused paid term in the first case.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided as is. Answers are generated by models and can be wrong; check anything that matters before acting on it. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email at least 14 days before they apply. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept them.
